What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a way of subscribing to a site so that you can be notified when it has changed. So rather than having to search around the site for new and interesting content you can simply be told when and where the new stuff is and be taken straight there.
How do I start using RSS feeds?
To view your RSS feeds you will need an RSS Reader, sometimes known as a 'news aggregator' . There are lots of them about, and most web browsers now have them built in (so you may not have to install any new software). Some of the most common none browser based tools are:
Windows: Newz Crawler, FeedDemon, Awasu Mac OS X: Newsfire, NetNewsWire Web: Bloglines, My Yahoo!, NewsGator
They will all work slightly differently but shouldn't be too complicated to use.
Enjoy!
