This year is their 75th anniversary and I proposed a collection of short stories, based on operas, and written by some fabulous writers. Whether you like Ruth Rendell, Ali Smith, Kate Atkinson, Sebastian Barry, Jackie Kay or Andrew O’Hagan, they are all here and many more. It’s a lovely book. I’ve included my story here.
